Romain’ and his son Jérémie’s winery is one of the inevitable places in Marlenheim. Small town located halfway between Strasbourg and Saverne, Marlenheim is the northern gate of the Alsace Wine Route. It is also one of the 19 cities of the “Couronne d’Or” (Golden Crown), historical vineyard of Strasbourg. Romain Fritsch chose in the 80s to grow some of its vines in “Lyre”. This configuration allows good ventilation of the clusters and a better solar exposure. Today, his son Jérémie takes over, activist for a better recognition of Pinot Noir in Marlenheim, as part of the Grand Cru, and the developpement of environment friendly techniques. The motto of the winery is the quality and respect of the terroir
